As the first one in my family to go to college this degree enabled me to work and study at the same time, and break generational boundaries. The flexible and late hours allowed me to dive into my studies.

Explored the English language and its applications through literary criticisms and access to multicultural topics from 'Chicana Feminist Studies' to 'Native American Literature' to 'Latinx Literature' I was able to dream up and discover a richer more inclusive and equitable world in my writing.
