Center for Multicultural Education- UNLV
Supporting and creating a group for teachers of color through professional development opportunities to come feel safe and heard, civic engagement for BIPOC folks to join the on campus community
Alternative Breaks- UNLV
Organized service & learning experiences for UNLV students to engage in community projects with partners in different cities during spring and summer breaks. Created & facilitated curriculum and service activities having to do with the root causes of mass incarceration in Los Angeles.
Latinx Program- UNLV
Advanced awareness of current and historic challenges facing Latinx communities on and off-campus. Developed and implemented Latinx student-centered programs. Organized the first Latinx Activism Week, intentionally centering Indigenous and Latinx femmes of color.
Campus Youth Organizer- Feminist Majority (UNLV)
Ran successful early voter turnout campaigns to help elect progressive candidates in midterm elections on campuses in Las Vegas, including UNLV, CSN, and Nevada State College.
Abriendo Caminos-UNLV
Mentored and encouraged youth of ages 14+ to join the program. Sought to increase the representation of teachers of color in Clark County School District. Connected high school students with mentors who were students at the UNLV, enrolled in the College of Education
