Mass Liberation Project Nevada

Collaboratively organize in the state of Nevada to center Black Liberation, through teach-ins and political education on policies and issues that our communities face. Through mutual aid, court support, participatory defense, and direct action

2019

Warren for President Las Vegas, NV

Organized, coached, supported, and worked closely with campaign staff to implement a plan to persuade and mobilize Democratic voters for the 2020 elections. Implemented direct voter outreach through phone banks, text banks, community, and organizing events meant to energize the Latinx community on the Eastside of Las Vegas

2016-2018

Women’s March Nevada Director

Responsible for strategy, approach, and local messaging of the local Women's March in NV. Drew 15,000 attendees, the largest protest in the history of Nevada. Developed partnerships with organizations, community members, media, decision-makers, and government officials. Coordinated the “Power to the Polls” kickoff event of a nationwide campaign to increase voter registration. (additional 15,000 attendees)

2018

Make the Road NV Las Vegas, NV

Developed and coordinated programs that promoted the organization and its services to the Latinx community through various forms of media and in person tactics

2017-Present

Arriba Las Vegas Workers’ Center NV

Organize and train folks through popular education to get involved to do court support, fundraising, organizing, and advocacy to create awareness of the issues plaguing day laborers and domestic workers in this state, like wage theft, safety regulations, and constant policing and deportation threats

2019-2020

Nevada State Democratic Party

Recruited, trained, and coached local community members to organize and get out the vote during the Nevada democratic caucuses and the 2020 general election. Built strong relationships and helped to facilitate trainings about elections with various communities centering Black, Indigenous, People of Color ( BIPOC) and the LGBTQIA2+ communities.

2017-2019

Womxn of Color LV Las Vegas, NV

Collective of womxn of color creatives and activists that organized and educated across the Las Vegas valley that facilitated multiple workshops throughout the valley, increasing awareness on issues such as systems of oppression, know-your-rights. Convergence at the Border, Malcolm X Day Conference, self-care, healing practices.

General Director of Operations

Managed resources, developed, maintained, and improved operational plans that ensured company procedures were properly executed. Responsible for the business’s daily activities and maintained relationships with vendors.
