Community Heart Work
We must create communities of care outside of the system. The one we live in intentionally criminalizes Black and Indigenous people, by essentially deputizing any person or service that works with the government into an extension of the police. Through various strategies, political education, and organizing I elevate intersectional and multicultural issues. I am a firm believer that my biggest stakeholders are the community.
Organizing requires relationship building and that means that I meet people where they are at with radical love and acceptance.
It is imperative that we work together to break the silos.

Direct Action! Protesting! Community Safety in our Hands!
True change often demands more than words—it demands our voices, bodies, and unwavering courage. Direct action is a vital force in dismantling oppressive systems, and we must not shy away from using these potent tools for freedom. We must embark on a fearless pursuit of justice, by leveraging the strength of collective action to break down barriers and create a world where every voice is heard and every body is free.
We need to recognize that true safety is not one-size-fits-all—it's a collective creation shaped by the very communities it seeks to protect. Community gets to define safety. By empowering individuals to articulate their own safety needs, we can foster a sense of ownership and resilience. Community's voice needs to guide the way to ensure a future where all can thrive without fear.
Join me for two hours while we breakdown the radical resistance roots of cumbia!
Learn the basic steps, turns, and paired movements that have made cumbia transcendental and essential in familias and communities across the americas and the caribbean for 5 centuries!
When we move and we live in joy we honor the sacrifices and fight of those that came before us.
"The soul wound asks me to honor my part
In this world which doesn't like me.
I am bombarded by the memories of their heart,
Ancestor’s prayers sent to guide me.
The stories and oral traditions lost,
Between the pages of white supremacy.
Their dominance at too high a cost
La cultura cura, is our responsibility..."
